I just open the box of my Speedlight 580EX

Hello pals!

Today, I get my 580EX and I'm very very happy!!! I used to have the 420ez, but was obsolet for my 20D.

I just open the box, see the functions in the flash, and now I'm with the manual, I hope to put some pictures soon!

Now, I have a question for you friends:

Can I use my old Speedlight 420ez as a Slave?
-This flash doesn't have a infrared, but may be there is something I can put on it to activate it, may be remote control or something, any help? Or better I sell it? (or try to...)

Hi Pablo. As far as I know, the best method of using the 420EZ as a slave would be to use an optical trigger like this one....

The trigger senses when the main flash on your camera fires, and then fires the slave at the same time. You'd have to set the output of the 420EZ manually of course. Hope that helps. :)
