Tried to capture some lightning through my loft window, not the best piccy but was happy just to have caught something. :D Was quite the storm too!

But well done for capturing that one ... I know from trying it is not easy and much patience is required ... :p

Thanks Sammy, and everyone else that commented.

No big deal really Sammy, I took about 150 shots or so, all shot in AP mode and hand held as I was just standing in my window watching the storm go by and snapping away.

Would you not get better results with a long exposure (i.e. 20s+)?

[edit] maybe 'better results' isn't quite what I meant... but at least on a longer exposure you've got a greatly increased chance of getting something (Assuming there's little to no ambient light).

Where were you on the 12th of June at 5am! That was a humdinger of a storm out over Bath!
