The categories are:
Best Photograph of an insect native to the UK
Best Photograph of a foreign insect


The winners in each category will receive a cash prize of £500 and their photo will be published in the Royal Entomological Society’s Magazine ‘Antenna’, and on the BBC Wildlife website.

Why don't we have a 'sticky' so that people can post their best efforts for critique and inspiration for others.

Don't think I stand any chance of winning but I would be nice to be able to say that I helped somebody who did :)

I've got my eye on this, closing date isn't until Oct *** so I'm not in a hurry to submit anything. A bit nearer the time I might have to get some opinions on what shot to enter ;)
