It works well.

It looks quite warm to me though, nice sunny day. :D

Is it layered images or was it done in camera?

Cool idea. Not quite sure if the horse layers (guessing that's what you've done?) are evenly spread though. Maybe the middle one needs to be a tiny bit over to the right?

I like it though!

It works very well Sammy nice idea, my only crit maybe just a tad more space on the right hand side for the horse and rider to move into IMO

Um, I took some photos in a camera and layered them....

I think the answer is that they were three photos I took in succession that have been overlaid.

If you know what I mean :D

Oh, Catdaddy, can't adjust the spacing easily as they are where the horse was when the shot was taken.

Hmm, not making much sense am I.

Hmm, yes, I think you maybe correct there. Have to see if any more grass is available in the originals.

Cool idea Sammy ...

Two observations if I may ...

... the last horse seems to be over-friendly with the one in front and the middle one is not quite as crisp or colourful as the others ... imo only of course ... :p

Eadweard Muybridge would be proud. Cool idea, and good outcome.

Ok, fixed the colour issues and given him a bit more room to nose into! :)
Thanks for the tips chaps!

Couldn't move the left two horses apart as they are too 'integrated' into the picture for it to be done well on the full sized version. :(
