It is good to be here. I look forward to getting to know you. As for me, my photographic interest is stereo or 3D photography. My camera is a Canon 300D or Digital Rebel. I shall post some examples in the near future, or you can take a look at my flickr gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/balliolman/

Hey, a fellow photo geek from cornwall. Nice to meet ya Balliolman
Hi :)
I experimented with these 3D images for a week or so :)
It worked OK but every day I managed to give myself a headache! Looking at your gallery brought it all back to me. Just off for a beer and a lie down ;)
Welcome to the forum.

Hiya Balliolman
Its time an application was made to view 3d images,
take all of that strain from the eyes.
You have some excellent work there.

Hi and welcome to the forum! :)

These are stereograms! :) Sit 2-3 feet from your monitor. Cross your eyes slightly. The left eye looks at the right image. The right eye looks at the left image. Do not strain. Do not go bug eyed. Relax. A central image giving stereo depth will appear. :D

That's really amazing! I've never heard of something like that done before. I guess you learn something new every day.. Thanks for telling me! :D I tried for about 5 minutes viewing one of your photos but couldn't get it to work properly. It reminds me of those magic eye books.. I was never able to do those either.

Most people have to try a few times to get the knack. Freeviewing is a skill like riding a bike: once learned never forgotten. Please try again and let me know how you get on!
