View Full Version : nikon en el3 batteries.
Hi guys, just joined the forum and what like some advice please. I have a D70 which uses enel3 battery and have just got a d300 which uses the enel3e. I know the d300 cannot use the d70 battery, but is it o.k. to use the d300 in the d70. Would appreciate any comments. Cheers John
Yes. The EN-EL3e will work fine in the D70.
As above; they are backwards compatible.

It just means that the chip in the battery, that tells the body of its condition/lifespan is not used, as that pin is not there on the D70 batteries.
Welcome BTW
Thanks everyone, it's what I thought, but nice to have confirmation
Cheers
