Just got me a new lens and I now need to get a 72mm uv type filter and polariser but is it worth spending £50 or more or would a £10 one do. Is there really that much difference between them?

I made the mistake of buying a well branded cheap one.
It was a mistake.
Buy the best that you can afford.
Buy the best you can afford if you feel the need to have a filter on.
I use Hoya Pro multi coated or B+W ones.
