MacBook - new one?

does anyone know if apple are bringing out a new MacBook sometime soon?

Daughter is planning buying one (with student discount) and her thought was if a new comes out the old ones might get cheaper. There are rumours around uni that a new one is expected.

There are rumours the new one is being released October (money being on the 14th) but being typical Apple there is no comfirmation. Also it is very likely to be aluminium.

I was in an apple store the other week and the guy was saying most of the range is due an upgrade soon

they were even starting to knock a bit of cash off too.....£50 off a standard iMac 20" caught my eye :D

Suggest she also looks at the refurbished units at the apple store - save some more there

I hope they do bring out a new one, so I can get a current one cheaper when they do!!!
(The white macbook is the sexiest laptop ever)

Well my money will be staying in the bank a little longer as the mac rumours site has Don't Buy - Updates soon for a Mac Pro

and Kipax's problems has put me off a 1d mkIII :(

Actually, all the Macs - with the exception of the iMac - are due for updates .. especially the Macbook and MacbookPro laptops.

It's frustrating how long Apple has been holding back on these to be updated.
