Does anybody mess about with the parameters on the 350D?
If so, what do you use and why? does it make that much difference?
Do you use different parameters for different subjects?
What do you mean by 'parameters'?

In the set up you can change the parameters, there's set parameters and custom ones.Basically they set the amount of contrast, sharpness, saturation, of the image.
Oh... in that case never use them as it sounds like they are to do with jpeg processing, and I always save as RAW only.

I just haven't got the memory to shoot raw when shooting football or motocross, otherwise I onlt shoot in raw also.
I suppose you could read the manual and that would tell you what each does then you could play about with the settings and choose one you like

I have, i was just wondering about what others did.
Some of these threads help others to learn too :)
I set mine to no.4.
It means you use your thumb to focus (* button) & the shutter button needs only pressing once.

I think parameters are another word for picture style.
Mine was set on 1 when i got it with everything up one level, I set it to 2 where everything is on level and I didn't notice any difference in picture quality.
I shoot in RAW, I don't know if that makes any difference.

The parameters would only effect the jpegs so it won't make any difference in raw.

oOOPS sorry!:coat:
