Wait for the animation to load then mouse across it to see the D3 shutter/mirror action in super slow motion (http://regex.info/blog/2008-09-04/925).
Very cool and quite impressive to think how quickly that all happens!!
Very impressive indeed, i didn't realize that there where so many actions under one click.
Clever stuff.

WOW.
Cool, the shutter moves at approx 19mph according to that!
thats impressive. When my shutter fails (i know its not a D3) i wont be so surprised knowing that its has done a similar action 10's of thousands of times.
Very impressive indeed. Finally I got to see how it all falls together :).
Thanks for posting this.
That is amazing, both how it works and the photographers capture of an event we take for granted every time we press the shutter.
Incredible stuff and great insight in to what all our cameras are doing every time we press the little button
That is such a cool link, thanks for posting
Explains (maybe) why there have been so many recent posted issues related to shutter probs. That is one complicated series of actions to capture a single image
10 fps.....
