I have just put my website on-line. I know its pretty simple at the moment, but would ask if anyone can see any cock-ups or things I've missed out.
Cheers Mark

I would at least put the country you reside in on the website somewhere... give people a clue where on the planet you are... seriously and with a .com .. you could be anywhere in the world... dont make people investigate to see if you have anything interesting.. let them know on the front page the area and country your in :)

Note taken
I'll just have to think how to word it

Gotta bite, haven't I?
First - the CD&P notice is badly formatted - on my screen I get one long line of text and "any way" on the next line. Judicious use of a < br > tag is recommended. This applies to all pages on your site... leaving it up to the web browser where to break lines can result in not very well laid out pages - mind you the opposite is true. On my Screen many of your sentences appear break in illogical places when a break tag would fix the issue.
"Warning: unauthorised use of these images will result in legal action whatsoever "
What are you trying to say? that just doesn't make sense :)
Punctuation is your friend. Remember to put in all you need - like a full stop (period) after England.
Button text should be centred.
Your "we will sue the pants off you" text should be the same on every page - 4 pages, 4 different versions is not good. You may want to consider what mind that puts readers in when they see it on every page...
Nice site otherwise though. Does exactly what it says on the tin. No silly music, effects or other 'candy' to get in the way. Nice clear font as well. Well done ;)

"Warning: unauthorised use of these images will result in legal action whatsoever ".
I ahve to admit i found that confusing but didnt mention it becasue i presumed it was me being a bit fick... it happens :)

Thanks for looking chaps,
The point your making are the reason I asked, as I tend to miss all this sort of thing.
Button text should be centred.
Not too sure about this problem as the text looks centred on my browser, may I ask which browser your using.

I did not have much to do about 10 years ago so tried to learn a bit of html to produce a village website www.adlington.info , so my site is hand coded, with the events gallery is using Jalbum

Looks good, but there is a very slight text mix up on the order prints page.
as I feel that these have a higher quality and longer life span than prints by made with an inkjet printer.
Should be made by - methinks

Opps
My quick comment...
I'm at work, and I dont have time to review the site, but clicked on the link thinking I'd look to see what stuff was in the gallery/portfolio. Couldn't see a link in the top menu, so I clicked off and am back here typing this.
Would potential customers do the same?
Looking good on my screen, galleries working fine. I'm using Firefox3 and IE7, perhaps a period after require larger prints please contact me on the sales page, you have one on the end of other paragraphs.
You might also want to consider this ---> Click Here (http://www.fingerlakesbmw.org/main/flobfuscate.php) and obsfucate your email address in the Contact page, it'll help stop the spambots picking up your email and filling your box with junk. Or perhaps a Catchpa script to do the same, there are many free ones available.

You should change the footer to a simple "© 2008 Whiteflyer Photography" - looks and sounds a lot nicer:)
And in the Paypal buying options under each photo, there's this:
"Postage is free on all photographys"
Other than the niggles, nicely designed, simple to navigate, and a real pleasure to browse.

So you want the button labeled "EVENTS" changed to Gallery or something ?

Thanks again everyone, I'm very grateful for your input.
Made the changes as suggested above over the spelling and punctuation errors.
As for the text being out on the buttons, I'll get round to doing the buttons again over the weekend and pay more attention to getting the text in the centre.
Trev the Jalbum template is one of the chameleon skins with a slight change in the css file to get the background colour

I struggled to get it into £ until I used the custom paypalC.inc in the includes folder then it was all a breeze.
After Sales ???
When someone orders a photo paypal just send an email saying they have paid and what they have ordered

Works on the Mac on Safari and looks good to me.
I did the same as you and asked everyone to comment on my site, it got slated :) BUT it was considerably better after that and I'm well chuffed with my new site (but I am waiting for authority to launch it so can't let people see it!).
