I am gloating cos my 22 year old son and his mate have come to stay with me and Barry and we are all getting along really well. We went to stay with Barry's lovely daughter on Tuesday night and went to Alton Towers yesterday. The young'ns hadn't met before and got along like a house on fire....It has been a stressy few years for me and things are starting to come right, I just need to get a bit of work in and I'll be almost complete ;)

Some people say this, that and the other that brings them down. What have I got to be happy about -----

I am who I am !!! I am what I am!!! Nothing more and nothing less.

I came into this world with nothing and as long as I go out owing nothing, then surely I must've given a lot. Whether that be financial, memories (happy or otherwise) and respect then thats good enough for me.

Oh and Marcel made me say that lot for it was he that said after I was made redundant "You cant take money with you when you leave this land!" (Or words to that effect)

c'mon chez, dinkle is hardly a swear word!

See you're back then!

Another reason....I have a flask of tea, full tank of petrol, an empty memory card and a ratified pink pass! so I'm off to play at Avebury for some long exposure fun. Expect results about 3 in the morning if I don't get mugged and beaten by the tree hugging types!

Ok, I'm not one to gloat but I am very proud of something so I will share with you all.

After being home for almost 9 years with the wee ones I have decided to go back to school. I recently passed an admissions test to get into a college for next September. I will be starting school in the fall full time for one school year. The course I am taking is the Personal Support Worker(PSW) course. I take my CPR course next Tuesday and Wednesday. A prerequisite for the course. Wish me luck!

I am very excited!

Ive just finished watching Click... with Adam Sandler, IMO possibly his best film so far and far removed from the comedy work he has produced before.

My reason to be smug is that ive just realised that ive been living the last few years of my life on fast forward and basically autopiloting through all the descisions, which is quite a hard thing to admit too. But now I know ive been doing it I can make a conscience effort to live life and take advantage of all the opportunities open to me.

A strange reason to be smug, but it makes me happy. (also my new custom title is quite nice)

today i had a ride in a 2006 spec WRC focus, JESUS CHRIST not only did it handle really well (dispite being a gravel spec car on broken tarmac) and stick like **** to a blanket, but the kick up the arse from the boost kicking in was unreal especially under launch control!

the best bits were either when the driver flicked it nose in drifting through a corner at over 100kph while facing a fence (musta been right next to the front of the car although you cant see anything forwards of the windscreen), or alternatvively when the driver threw the car into a hairpin bend and the entire back of the car lifted into the air before we pulled off amidst a cloud of tire smoke!

I've just discovered the joys of having my own jet washer. First I did the car, then I did the path outside my house because I splattered fence paint all over it yesterday, then I did the paving stones in my back garden and got the mould off them and then I was addicted and had to find something else to clean. I now have the cleanest drain covers in town, now there's something to be proud of. what next eh?

My ex, she was filthy.

Failing that, you could always hose my little lad down
