Yes, I know, more horses! I went with my wife to Keysoe Equestrian College today where they were showing the future prospects for British Dressage with many of the GB team there. I must admit, even as a bit of an equine-phobe, I could appreciate the power and grace of these animals with their big, floaty paces, certainly different (and much easier) to shoot than the standard at local shows I usually attend.

Also got chatting to the event photographer and it looks like I might be doing some work for him at the large events.

Another bit of good news as well, you may remember my post a couple of days ago about our new horse Zeus, his direct brother (same stallion and dam) won at this show yesterday in the young stock class which has probably added a few quid to Zeus's value. I might have to sell him on the QT and get myself a D2x and more glass. :naughty:

This guy is Carl Hester, apparently the David Beckam of the dressage circuit, one of the top riders in the world ( he won two classes today).

Check out the Grin on Carl!

Nice shots - particularly impressed with the exposures... It's damn tough to nail a dark horsie against the inevitably lighter surroundings. I often end up with no horsie detail or supah over exposed surroundings :(

Heh, did carl just utter 'Pip pip!' or 'Spiffing!' by any chance!?

:D

Very nice shots. Strange how my wife (who knows and loves her horses) has taken a keen interest in 'Mr Beckham'!!

The problem is that 'Mr Beckam' would probably be more interested in you, if you catch my drift. ;)

That's great... I am just about to spoil her fantasy I think!!!

Aside though your shots are really coming on great. Shouldn't be too long before you turn the wish list into reality at this rate.
