Hi folks
would like to know if anyone can help.I tried to upload some pix into my gallery, but got a message back that the file size was too big.
I resized my original 8Mp images to 600 x 900.
Is there some other adjustment I need to make?
Thanks for helping!!
It's talking about the file size not the actual dimensions of the image Anton. On your hard drive right click the image file and choose properties to see how big the actual file is.
You can adjust the file size when you save the image (depending on your software) by choose different levels of compression or quality.
I think for the gallery images must be no bigger than 800 on longest side??? and 160k file size.

When you post or reply to a post, click the little yellow postcard icon in the toolbar then enter the address of your image. That should do it.
If you right click on the image in your gallery and from the drop down menu select 'copy image location' in firefox or whatever the same thing is in IE then you can just cut and paste it into the insert image box!
While we're here, why do we have such a odd file size limit, 163K iirc. I have to resize quite afew of my pictures just for here, as I usually save for web at around 200k or below. Most other sites I use are either 200k or 250k limit, I believe.

It's 160k IF it's in your gallery....otherwise for off site links there is no limit (within reason)
