Just ordered myself the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro and the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM for my 350D:eek:
Been wanting to do this for a cuple of months, but been putting it off. I hate spending money, especially when its on myself. though i am quite good at it:naughty:
Got them both from jessops (!!) for £538.42 including next day del.
The same two from onestop would have cost me £529.98, so it didnt really seem worth the potential hassle of duty.
I have slowed down on my photography of late, i feel the bug has worn off a bit at the mo, but i am sure that these two beauties while give me the kick start i need!
They should turn up tuesday so will post me first pics as soon as they arive:D:D:D
I think the next 36 hours are going to drag by.

Congratulations - got my Sigma 10-20 from them aswell as my newest addition - very satisfied with that lens, although it take a bit of getting used to the extreme wide views you can achieve - just make sure your feet and ears are out of the frame before you click ;)

Lie down!?
I'm too excited:nuts:
I go from jumping up and down with excitment, to sitting very pensive about all the money i have spent. thats the problem with internet buying, its all virtual, no hard cash has passed through my hands. Its just too easy:naughty:

Well, there have arrived. :woot:
Both wonderful lenses in their own right IMO
The 10-20 is the first time i have used the HSM and it’s amazing, i actually thought it wasn’t working properly at first because it’s SO quick and quiet. The focus ring allows you to adjust the focus when in AF mode, something that I know I will find useful.
The build quality of both feel lovely, especially the 10-20.
The macro is pretty spiffing too. Did think i had broken it with in the first 5 minutes of using it though. Unbeknownst to me the focusing ring clicks up so that it doesn’t spin in AF mode, then clicks back down for manual. So i am playing around and all of a sudden the ring is spinning but nothing is happening. After a short, quiet panic, lots of deep breaths and looking at the markings on the lens i realise what i idiot i was. :bonk:
Haven’t had a chance to use them properly yet, though managed to get out in the garden for a couple of quick handheld shots last night before it got too dark. See below. I think the macro has a beautiful quality to its images and I am looking forward to having a go at a couple of portraits with it.

Will have to buy a new polarizer and filter holder for the wide angle though, i didn’t give it a thought, but the lens is 77mm and all my filters are for 58:bang: :bang:
Will post some more when I have taken ‘em :D:D
Am a very happy bunny
Those are impressive for first attemps mate! :)
Great shots!
