The little bugger wasn't scared at all really, came right upto me and Bod :D
Handheld at 1/125 at 200mm, quite proud of that :p
Nice!
It even walked past my feet, and walked under my car....very confident it was.

Lovely male Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) you captured there Jonny ... although to me it looks a tad over-sharpened ... imo of course ... nicely composed and exposed too though ...
good shot jonny, nicely composed and clear, though i would have maybe used a bit of fill in flash?

The tiny onboard flash at 200mm? No chance :p

The bird was about 2 inches high :p and you were only about 6 foot away :D
What's the guide number on the onboard flash for the 20? It's about 12 isnt it?
It would have worked ;)

Suppose it would have :p
I ****, it was kinda spur of the moment thing as you know because it was so close, wasn't thinking about flash :(

Oh aye, can fully understand. The amount of times I've had to grab the camera quickly and I've forgotten to set something...it's all too easily done unfortunately.
