Anyone know how to get dust from inside this lens, is it a DIY job, or send it to someone, if so who? any suggestions or advice appreciated

Send it to Sigma, they have a fixed price for repair/servicing but before you do are you sure the dust is affecting the results? It would have to be an awful lot of dust before you noticed the effects on the image.

Every zoom lens eventually ends up with some dust inside, if it's really bad it needs to go back to Sigma, but as pxl8 says, unless it's like the inside of a hoover bag it won't affect iq...

don't worry about it, it'll never show up in images, it'll cost a fortune to fix, and the next time you zoom from 50 to 500mm you'll suck dust back in again.

Thanks, I think I am going to stop worrying about it. As for the dust affecting my results, any chance the dust is causing poor exposure, camera shake and bad framing :-)
