View Full Version : CS2 and Neat Image

I have neat image set up so in CS2 I can go Filter | neat Image | reduce Noise and then work through neat Image - when I get to the end of neat image and click on Apply, I am returned to CS2
But...
In the past I could see my picture on screen - now I have to go to Window | Arrange | and then click on New Window for filename.jpg, so it shows on screen.
Anyone got any ideas why this now happens? - Think I'm sure to have switched an option in CS2 or neat by mistake.
Thanks
Allan

Take it no one has come across this problem - Oh well
did have a look at this as I have neat image, but couldn't replicate your problem so am a bit stumped unfortunately old chap!
I also get this problem but I minimise Photoshop and maximise photoshop to view the photo.

I'll give that a try - glad it wasn't just me with this problem :)
I find it hard to imagine you need to use Neat Image with photos from your 350d, Ice Man. Since I got mine I have never needed noise reduction.

Hi Janice
Yer most of the time I don't need it you're right - but when I take dance pics the iso is set to 800 or over, so needs a bit of a clean
Allan
Ah...that would explain it!! :)
I use Noise Reduction software sometimes. But mostly when I've buggered up the exposing of a shot, and need to raise the exposure compensation later, which we all know introduces noise :(
Anyway, KIM did you ever get your problem sorted?
If not, I would have suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the NeatImage plugin, as a first port of call.
