Sue, all are very good although you've chopped his ear off in the first on but I do like the second more as he seems very protective of his bone, my only crit maybe a touch more contrast, 3 and 4 are just cute ones as they seem to be having such a hard day lazzing in the sun

mmmm nuttin like a good bone to gnaw on,lol

I like the middle shot too but agree with what was said about more contrast.
The third shot is how I feel after feeling like 46 degrees for three days straight, lol :gag:

Sue I think your B&W is great, certainly caught my eye, theirs problems with the fence and the odd oof effect yes, (It's got a name but I haven't learnt it yet) but overall I like the photo and the crop you've chosen.

TFS. :)

apart from resizing and changing to black and white I havent done anything with the picture, the fence blurred out on its own and not done anything to alter that, I seem to manage that quite well done the same with quite a few lion pictures taken through similar fences. I certainlly dont have problems editing my photos, everyone can do better than me so it is nice to see what can be done with my photos

Sue I gave it a quick conversion too.

One thing to note and the sort of golden rule in animal photography is that the eyes are the key to the shot. This is a good shot and would have been better had the eye been viewable.

As you have a passion it may be worth looking for some books by Andy Rouse, one of the UKs top wildlife snappers. Someone who is either very lucky or very good at what he does.

As other have said look at your framing when you put the camera to your eye and scan the shot before you take it - this will improve your eye and help you frame better pictures in the future.

Hope this helps, all constructive I hope :)

I have found eyes make a photo as well, unfortunately it was not possible what with everyone else wanting to watch/see the tiger and it was behind a metal fence.
