View Full Version : Think Tank Photo Shape Shifter on track to ship early next month
The Shape Shifter, an innovative expanding/contracting photo backpack we wrote about last month, is on schedule to ship worldwide in early December, says Think Tank Photo President Doug Murdoch, both direct from the company and at retailers that carry their products. Murdoch projects that supplies of the Shape Shifter will be tight in the first several weeks of release, particularly in North America.

When I first saw this I thought to myself thats a great idea, but after seeing it on the Jacobs stand at Focus '09 I really want one, Its lightweight, and looks like it was designed to carry my kit :)
Just got to talk the wife into buying me one as there £189 at the moment, which in my opinion is expensive

ThinkTank kit is pricey but is excellent. I've toured the world with an Airport Acceleration and nothing comes close in my opinion...
I'm not sure about think tank stuff, the only experiance i've had with them was the rotation 360 and that was the biggest waste of money ever! Innovative, yes, practical, no way! The bag weighed a ton when empty, then try and lift it with any camera stuff in it. Plus this bag was aimed at professional photographers, but once i upgraded to semi-pro kit, none of it fit in the damn bag. bought for a whopping £219 sold on ebay for £70 a year later.
After all that though the bag was increadibly well made, and bulit like a tank. If the design had been thought about more it would have been great. I have been interested in the airport series but unfortunately no camera shops stock them in my area.

I use an Airport Acceleration and have done a review on here. The Addicted is big and heavy but the Acceleration and Antidote are pretty light and hold a lot.
If you are ever in London, Jacobs on New Oxford Street and Fixation both hold stock.
