..i had a 18-50 Dc that i bought that was soft as anything, didnt focus well and didnt produce any images of real note. Rang sigma, its a grey import so they are not overly happy to give you preferential treatment, but the nice man asked for a couple of hi-res sample shots of dominos or something, one wide open, one narrow, i did that and sent them to him, he came back and said probably front focusing, send lens in. Sent lens in, he checked it, confirmed it, as it was out of warrenty, £33 to have it calibrated and returned, which i agreed too, lens arrived back today, cleaned, in better packaging and working nicely.
