My girlfriends mate is moving to sctoland very soon and her dad wants to get shut of his Nikon F55.
What would be a fair price to offer him? Had a look at fleabay and about £25 (comes with two lens) seems fair. Yes or no?
Also is it a good film (:eek:) camera?
Thanks
Matt

My opinion. Think D40 but with film and AF motor.:)

WHS.
£25 sounds like a very good deal for the buyer - depending on the lenses it comes with! IIRC, there was a 2 lens kit - a 28-80 and 70-300. Neither lens is a stellar performer but both do a reasonable job.

Where is sctoland?
Next you'll be needing a Nikon dslr, so that you can share lenses between the two.....;)

You plannin on using them or just building a collection for show? If you were using them you can sometimes get a steal on ebay on some medium format gear (bronica or mamiya usually though there are some pentax`s on there as well).
i bought one about 2 years ago for £45. for £25 its definatly worth it.

It seems to be like a d40 in reverse - the d40 only autofocuses with AF-S lenses, the F55 only focuses with non-AF-S ones... :cuckoo:
