The global economic crisis is taking its toll on three of the biggest players in digital photography: in recent weeks, Adobe, Canon and Nikon have all announced or implemented reductions to their workforces in the light of softening demand for the things they make. At Adobe, the reason cited is lower-than-expected sales of its Creative Suite 4 applications, while Canon and Nikon are cutting staff that assemble digital cameras and related products.

Should this thread be merged with the "I've not got my 5D mkII yet (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=96634)" thread.

The only good points that MAY come out of this are price cuts to boost sales.
