How was this achived?

Hi All

I sometimes browse the getty images database for ideas and inspiration; it has a great selection of images. Anyway i keep coming across this image and i absolutely love what i presume is the post work on it:

Does anyone have any ideas how this has been done?

What aspect are you trying to figure out? The color? The angle?

I think it's just a really subtle variation on the "Dragan" technique that someone posted a link to in another post (sorry, can't remember who) I think it's just slight altering of colours that were less evident in the image (eg- the chestnut browns in the creases between nostril & cheek, etc) Making them more evident using the techniques shown in the link (I have included it here too).
The only major difference that I can point out is the lack of added texture & also keeping the colours bright & saturated.

What aspect are you trying to figure out? The color? The angle?
It was the processing technique. it has a very unnatural look about it that i really like. I have seen this or similar images a few times and have wondered how the effect was achived. :)

I was thinking a modified dragan technique also. The skin looks icredibly smooth too, so I am assuming it has been blurred and healed as well.

I have had a look at he other stuff and it looks like he uses a lot of healing brush, dodge & burn, and bluring and masking as you guys say.

Not too sure about the first shot that you linked to lumpster.
While it's a goodun, I think there's something very unsettling about looking right up the nostrils.

I've just had a quick flick through his site, and there are some very impressive images on there.
All technically good, but more importantly theyre pleasing to look at. That guy does have some seriously good PS skills :)
