Very nice Colin. What filters did you use on it just out of interest?

 Very nice mrgubby, what did you do? I've just got Photoshop CS2 and I'm playing around with it.

One of my favourite cheats/effects , over-sharpening :).

I set the USM to have a radius of 50 pixels and a strength of 65%. It has the effect of increasing contrast/saturation & sharpening all in one. Just fiddle with the radius/strength until you get a pleasing level

Really great image, edit improves an already great shot (I love moody shots).
Best one of the series IMO.

Good tutorial here http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/local-contrast-enhancement.htm
on this technique.

Great shot indeed. The edit improves it I think...but still a lovely shot to start with.

what she said ^
you can't get a good result without a decent original. looks like that tobacco filter sort of look...great thing about digital to add it later. excellent shot.
