nikon fit manual 85mm lenses - recommendations?

I know about the nikkor 85mm Ai f2 but not too much about zeiss or other brands, anything relatively cheap or moderately priced worth looking for? Id like a zeiss but think it´ll run 5 or 600 notes

There's the current 3rd party option available under several names e.g. Samyang, Sakar, Falcon, Polar, Vivitar etc. You can see it compared with the Tamron Adaptall-2 here: http://www.kwigibocity.com/Vivitar8514.html

At the same sort of price as the Tamron (but with very variable quality) is the Jupiter-9 f/2 85mm. The M42 version (to use with a Nikon adapter) would be the one to consider. Fifteen aperture blades!
