Male Golden Eagle

An image taken recently in Norway along side Danny Green .Thank you Danny for your company in those long hours in the hide ,despite you sleeping through most of them..LOL Arriving before dawn in the total darkness 3500ft up in the Norwegian mountains at temperatures of -21 .The gear coped admirably , the photographer shivering . In most cases up to 9 hours are required in the hide in total silence Arriving in the dark and leaving at dusk ensuring the eagles did not associate the place with humans .You get approximately 2 hours of the right light limiting actual photography time with these most fantastic creatures . Days can pass with not a sniff just the odd Jay for company.The excitement when one of these fellows turn up has to be restrained save any noise what so ever .You can understand the tension when a male and female arrive together .Yes i have the images . This particular day was perfect. Heavy snow a mild temperature of -15 and at just the right time of the day for the light . An absolutely epic week of photography . Thank you again Danny and to Ole Martin Dahl for an opportunity not to missed .

That's a cracking pose Mark.

Obviously the mountains in Norway are growing by the week as when I was there a week before it was 420m (1400ft)
