Photographer died last night at match
First I have double checked with the newspaper he works for that this is public knowledge and his name is public knowledge so even though its the morning after.. I have been given full go ahead to tell whoever..
As a photographers forum and as many on here may know the guy and I know some will know him ..I thought best to post A photographer who works for the M.E.N. and a regular tog at rochdale games .. he felt ill and left 10 mins before the end of the game (Rochdale v Bradford 23rd feb 2010) but died in his car before leaving. heart attack ..something he had a history of apparently. Having spoken to the guy at length before the game (only the 2nd time i ever met him,) its a bit of a shock to know he never made it home .. he was happy and talkative.. you wouldnt believe it ![]() RIP Steve Bostock.. hardly knew you but...

RIP. Thankfully he died before setting off, and not on the roads. The chaos could have been terrible. Happened to my grandad, came out of Bingo, was all fine, got in the car and had a heart attack and that was it. Wasn't even feeling unwell until it happened.

Having been the club photographer for last nights match, I was talking to Steve throughout the game... being only 5 feet away from him for most of the night.
When he left the ground about 10 or 15 minutes before the final whistle, his last words to me were.. "Well thats deadline, see you later.... " There was no hint of his being unwell... it is unbelievable that only a short while later he was dead. My thoughts are with his family... RIP Steve |

Worked with Steve for several years "in his other job" (computing) - gave me many tips and hints to improve my amateur snapping - for which I was eternally grateful - found out this afternoon via our old boss - stunned - totally stunned - only saw him last week while out shopping - thoughts are with Paula and the family ...

That's sad news indeed.. I think I may have bumped into him at one or two games before now. Really sad to hear of the death though, my thoughts are with his friends and family.
