Gotta have a go at this :bonk:

Any advice from you seasoned pro/ams?
How do I add the "my 52" link to my normal posts by default?

I really like this photograph - unusual and great for the theme, though I have to admit until I saw the soldier I thought it was a doll's house

:cautious:

:plus1:

Good one though Mick, I like it, whats it taken againt?

It's lying on my work Tesco binder & have propped a laptop skin behind it(y)
ISO100, lit from the hall light shining into the dining room. Self timer on Aperature priority.

Wow - really original choice for the 'new' theme.
I like the second shot best - the way you have focused on the middle coin and the dof on the outer coins really works.

Same here, like the idea for the first shot but prefer the second one as it's a more interesting pic

Agree, its original and works well to my eye - and the "Deutsche" reference was great as well.

Just for a hoot in the first shot you could have had the reflection at the bottom showing the back of the coin

Hiya Mick,

Well done on completing your first 2 weeks of the 52. Sorry I missed the first one, I'm doing a quick catch-up on replies now.

Week 1: A great take on the theme and a lovely little house too. Like the way you have it set agains a black background, it really makes the house stand out and almost looks like a real house.

Week 2: I absolutely love the way you have staged these coins, a brilliant idea and one I will try to use if you don't mind. Excellent use of reflections, I like both, but the first one is just so optical.

And yes I can see the NEU, very cleverly staged. Well done!

I look forward to seeing your ideas for next weeks theme.

Good luck

Cheers

Dawn :)

I think it's mine too, but was struggling to get the New connection

Nice idea, would test my PP a bit

The coins are sat on top of a laptop.

Thanks for the comments peeps (y)

Thanks for that Mick, I had wondered what they were sat on. At first I thought you had used the hotplate on a stove. But knowing now that it was a laptop, even easier. My netbook is the 'egg shell' type, I would just need to make sure all the finger marks were removed first.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Really like that 2nd coin shot - simple, uncluttered and to the point.

Got to hand it to you those are two very good shot's. The second of the two coin shots stands out for me (although the first one is excellent too) it has that little something that catches and holds your attention, well done (y)

God, this week's theme has driven me mad :bonk:

Well, today at the 11th hour we went for a walk on the local beach & this little fella came to say hello.

I asked if the owner minded me taking a few shots? I couldn't even hit it with a shot gun so took these instead :naughty:

Hope this week's is more inspiring

A great photo. I much prefer the colour version though as the little thing has great colours. Nice take on the theme as well with it wearing a jacket.(y)

Can only :agree:

The owner should be shot, poot little yorkie being let out with a haircut like that!

Thanks guys,

I was struggling to get a shot this week, this was one of 3 & the only one that was in focus.

You have done well... I've tried taking shots of my mums dog before and my wifes parents and it's very tricky as they never stay still! Well done... Again if I was being critical im not sure it shouts style as an image but I know it was a tricky theme to shoot... and im not totally happy with my own shot either!
