1st go at macro

I had a play with my macro lens today, I went to Lancaster butterfly house which again is a first so all in all a double first and for my first attempt I'm pretty pleased,

Let me know what you think. (Sorry I don't know the names of the butterflies)

Was using a Nikon D7000, Nikon 105mm macro lens and an SB-900.

they are all fine...the finch is a bit of a zonk to the eyes after the close ups on the butterflies

A great start - no three for me, I think two is a strong one two, had that have had the same angle as three it would have been my pick.

The third and fifth are both Zebra Butterflies
The fourth is a Monarch Butterfly

I feel like a geek, but I only know as I did some research after visiting a butterfly zoo myself

Great captures, with 2 & 3 being my favs!
