Will this work?

Well apart from the fact that it's sold now, yes it will 'work' with a 350D.

However it will be slow, really slow. That is the max aperture will be small, f16 at 1300mm. That means that with the x2 converter on it your looking at something like f32 (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). Now for nature shots thats going to give a lens that is fine for animals not in a hurry to get anywhere and under the midday sun you might have enough light.

Mind you, at that aperture it would be great for long exposure night time shots :)

Yes, and the standard stops are:

f/1, f/1.4, f/2, f/2.8, f/4, f/5.6, f/8, f/11, f/16, f/22, f/32, f/45, f/64

So...............f16 + 2 = f32

Also I would suggest that the lens would be 'weak', but I like the typo

ah right, i didnt realise that the stops jumped so massively up at that end of the scale, i prefer the other end.

yeh completely and utterly a typo, i didn indeed mean weak

Opteka lenses are very poor quality and best avoided.
