Hi guys,

I went along to a big Athletics event yesterday and took along my camera to have a play and see what it could do.

Here's a few of the couple of hundred shots I got, I was using the event as an oppertunity to learn some of the A200's settings and lets say there were lots of throw aways...

Some conclusions I reached already,
I need a faster, sharper lens
The A200 really struggles at higher ISO settings
I want to marry a Pole Vault girl!

Some nice action caught there(y)(y). N0's 4 to 9 are a bit dark o'clock th0.

I struggled with the light alot. Only having the kit lens didn't help much on that front at all, as well as most events being held in against the stands which ment they were in the shade.
The bulk of good shots I got were of the Womans Pole Vault because it was still in the afternoon light...

No.4 shows a problem that I sometimes encounter and don't really know what to do to fix, when doing football and a black player runs into the shadow of a stand, or a general shadow you lose all of the detail of the player. Clearly it isn't such an uissue with white players in shadows.

Does anyone know how to counter it?

I think there's some great shots there, particularly the female pole-vaulter, the actions captured really well.

lovely set love the first 3 but their all good :D
