Hi all I've just had a piece of brass and a screw fall out of my lens and the zoom no longer works using the barrel.

Has this happened to anyone else and is it expensive to have fixed???

Ooh, sorry to hear that, not had this exact problem, but did have a zoom begin to stick, which when sent for repair was a loose screw / roller wearing which apparently is a common problem. Might be worth phoning a few places that deal with Sigma lenses and see if they can give you a ball park figure for repair - I would also see how much the lens is worth and decide if it is a worthwhile repair.

Hope you get it sorted (y) or buy a new one :D
 
Thanks guys I'll give my local camera repair shop and if they arn't cheap I'll give Sigma ring.
 
I dropped it off on yesterday morning Mark said it would be about £20 - £30 and would be ready for Monday lunch time!!!
 
Andy I picked it up this evening and works wonderfully again, all for £20 !!!!

Thats great news and a bargain price ! I must say I am very pleased with my lens and certainly would recommend them to anyone.
