Some sample zoo shots from my first proper try out with the BigOS the other week. Wasn't the most sensible time to go given alternating Summer sun and rainstorms but wanted to check quality ahead of my next Africa trip. I think with some practice it'll be OK. A great lens for the money for sure. This is my second one. First one, on Canon mount, was fine too.
A couple here are at 500mm as the long end is usually the weakness with these big mid range zooms, one with slow shutter speed to show OS performance. Stick it in AV and f8 and all is fine. OS is very impressive.
I'm off to Chester Zoo next Saturday to try out my new A700. I have a Sigma 70-300 but I'm after a bit more reach. If your pics are anything to go by, I might just plump for the 150-500
Have had mine for about 4 months now, and I'm very pleased with it. In fact it's hardly ever been off the camera! I shoot everything handheld with it. It is heavy but not overly so.
Pretty much everything > HERE < up to page 9 is with the 150-500.
