Nicely curved *NSFW*?
I ran this by Simon and he thought it'd be okay to post. This is my wife Jean.
![]() ![]() I used natural sunlight coming in through the window this afternoon. The patterns on the net curtains made for interesting shade patterns. Steve

Ignoring all temptation, the natural light is well used and having looked at the others I think this works the best. The wife also likes the shot alot and says yours is very brave.
Only thing to add would be to have seen some stronger shadows. |

It's a nice use of natural light and very brave of the other half to volunteer for you. Had expected a lot more of this type but this is the first I've seen so far. Agree as above that perhaps a little more shadow to accentuate the curves but it's a very good shot nonetheless.

Thanks guys, I kind of agree about the shadows needing a bit more but I had to work with what we had. There was a thin shaft of light from the window and by the time I was set up I didn't have much time to mess about too much.
Yeah, she is very brave! ![]() ![]() Thanks for the comments.

Hi Steve.
Fantastic start. In fact I expected a few more of this sort of shot. Very classy and sensitively done - you've captured some lovely detail in the skin and I agree with you that the patterns from the net curtains add an interesting level of detail I've had a look at your other shots and think that you've definitely picked the best one for your 52. The composition in this one is spot on - just the right amount of her back in shot to add an extra curve and nice definition on those dimple bits either side of the lower spine (I'm sure that there's a proper anatomical name for them, but no idea what it is) and for Jean too. I think she's very brave for :a) posing and allowing you to post it on TP and b) exposing herself for any length of time, when it's this damn cold

Welcome to the 52 Steve.
![]() I like the shadows as they are. It's a lovely shot and the lighting is excellent. What a brave wife you've got - and I hope the heating was on! ![]() (another) Jean

a good start to your 52. I suggested the same thing to my wife. she replied with two words. The second word was off.
But this is a good image |

Nice ass
My first thought on this theme which I mentioned to the other half didn't really go too well, me saying it's not like no one has ever seen them before also met with a frosty response. |

My wife has a push bike stand very similar to this
Only kidding ![]() It's a shame that the patterns from the net curtains are not a little stronger as they may have had the effect of emphasising the contours. Looking forward to the next ones if this is anything to go by

Finally settled on this one! These are some icicles that were starting to melt on our gutter the other day.
I thought maybe this poem I wrote a while ago would go with the image. Hope you think so too... Click image to see it on black. ![]() Dawn brings a sugar coated hue To the brittle grass and ice-cold paving. Delicate, intricate, stinging patterns of frost Protected by its own albedo From the chilled ambient light. Brilliant, blinding fingers of transformation Sheathed in golden gloves Creeping from the cool shadows of the trees. To touch the tiny souls of the ice crystals And lead them to ecstatic release. Stop the moment and listen to the song The joyous crack and slip from one state to another. The breathing in of the Sun's radiant energy To power the change from an agent of preservation To one of life and poetry. Later, and aggressively now, with tiger-like determination The Sun inexorably stalks its hapless prey. For the latecomers to its warm embrace It punishes with a brutal shove from solid to vapour Called sublimation. The ground leaves a little of the water untouched A libation to the warming Sun. This excess is also transformed to atmospheric mist Travelling skyward throughout the day To dream of absorption tomorrow. Steve

Brilliant shots Steve. I like you "curved" image too. Nicely captured... I usually prefer these in black in white, but yours works really well in colour. For week 2, I like the way my eye is drawn up the icicles... I like this.

Clever take in the curved theme, my wife would have slapped me had I suggested such a thing
![]() Your second image is very cleverly done, I love the way the tip of the icicle (sp?) draws me eye up into the picture. (subscribed) |

Good intepretation of Poem Steve, love the colour and the icicles, really good poem too. The only thing I'd say, the tip of the middle icicle looks a little bit oof, might be the water or my eyes of course...
