anybody got any pics from Oulton today as Plato was trying out the Chevrolet Cruze and soem of the BMWs were out as well
the RS500 is a cracker as well

Cheers, I've been following AmD's blog, they're local to us.
I've been informed the driver of the BMW was Stephen Kane. The car only did a few instalation laps in the afternoon. Don't know if Stephen was just helping the team out or whether he is one of Motorbase Performance's soon to be announced drivers.
The RS500 was mint condition, don't know if it was the real deal or a replica, but awesome just the same.

Ah, didn't see it break down. I saw them push the car down the pitlane, I guess that was after it broke.

The team are happy, according to their blog etc. that the shakedown went well. I daresay they have alot to learn along the way.
My eldest son, who is on a Motorsport Engineering course at college, noticed from my photos, the car has very little camber on the wheels at present, so it looks like there will be some changes they will need to make along the way that should improve their speed. Time will tell I suppose.
 
Some nice shots, wasnt a bad day for it, that Golf does look well turned out, but RS500 hmmmmmmmmmm.
 
#1 & #5 are both cracking shots IMO !!

Any idea when all the team/driver/car line ups will be announced for the new season? Im guessing its all revealed on or before the media day.

The Golf did look good although in strong sun light the red looked a tad pink even to the naked eye. But that RS500 it was motorsport porn.:naughty:

Cheers, I think most teams will wait till media day, some may even wait while longer as they try to raise the sponsorship money.

I'm not so sure, I'm more inclined to say the Panasonic is a very good camera and very easy to use. I still have a good share of shots to bin each time though.
Maybe one day, I'll upgrade and we'll find out for sure.:LOL:

lol, give us a shout some time, bring an SD card with you i'll let you test one of my 1d's can only use one at a time. (y)

That's why I liked it too. Shame the cars in the background weren't other
Cossies or BMW's, then that shot could so easily have looked like it was taken back in the late 80's

There is afew other sites that have actually credited your user name (y) If I come across them again i'll post the links in here for you.
 
Great shots fella, that golf is gorgeous!! Really looking forward to this seasons BTCC, ill be off to thruxton this time round along with my new 5D Mk II and 70-200mm L lens :) cant wait. Although i think ill be rooting for Rob Austins Audi this year, that is one sexy car :D

The astra is in dubai at the moment.....
