800 with 2x TC would be interesting......


...and would probably need some rather extensive IS.....

The 200 f/2 excites me more than the 800 f/5.6. Can get 700 f/5.6 with my 500 and an extender. You can't "make" extra aperture.

Could be the perfect nocturnal wildlife lens?

200 f2 IS L will defiantly be added to my lens line up.

As for the 800mm f5.6 , I wont be adding that as i currently use a 600mm f4 IS L + 1.4xtc which gives me 840mm f5.6 IS L.

At f/11, you'd still have to manual focus on a 1 series...
