Couldn't pick between that and the shot of your daughter though. Brilliant lighting on this one. A great portrait.
Thanks, most of the props have now gone...

Cheers all and I'll make sure I've commented on yours...don't forget to use the spreadsheet..it's getting easier because quite a few have dropped out.

love the syrup shot, although I would have been tempted to crop a little off the top. The b/g is that bright the "stem" just looks a little weird and messy to me.

I love that shot; the colours are wonderful, and having had a go with syrup myself you did extremely well to get the flow just right!! I prefer the version without the shadow personally; I find that a little distracting.

Cheers, Hhmmm, i had a crop and it does work better....the main blob falls on the lower left third after the crop.

Thanks, it was an enjoyable exercise I had another attempt last night but was too tired so it just didn't work.

Hi Andy, I love your second pic of the syrup. The lighting is just right and helps give it that lovely rich colour!!

I think the kids have done well out of this theme - Thomas was eating the lovehearts whilst I was taking pics of the rest of the pack, then George ate the Blackpool rock that I used for my shot on flickr!! Isabelle looks like she was having a lovely time eating cream eggs!!

With an 8 year old in the house, any chocolate is soon munched. So when Secure came up I thought this would make a humorous take on the theme.

A Cadbury's Creme Egg was harmed in the making of this photograph.

I have a few other ideas that I hope to be able to make during the week. Good luck all and keep up the great work...

Great idea I prefer the cream egg shot as the kit kat image looks like you've just placed the padlock in front of the kit kat. Maybe would have worked better if you could see the padlock going through the wrapper. If I was being super critical I think the cream egg could have done with being rotated a little more so you didn't have the barcode in view just the Cadbury cream egg logo.

I hate being that critical as I know how much work goes into thinking up these ideas and creating the shot. Hope the comments help

I prefer the cream egg one too. I wish I had the imagination of you lot!

Like Phil says, its hard to criticise when I couldnt think of this in a million years but... I agree with the barcode suggestion but also I wonder if it would have been as good with the padlock coming through the egg and seeing it locked?

Brilliant both shots inspired but I like the Cream Egg the most

Just a thought - I wonder if you could have a chain from the padlock either running out of shot or to a kitchen cupboard door handle?

Lock up your creme eggs could be a big slogan for Cadbury's, post them the shot Andy you never know what you might get back.

Really appreciate the critique sometimes, and this was one of them, I get so focused on the outcome, I totally missed the bar code. Putting the padlock through the end of the Kit-Kat.... bugger...

The lock was an issue, when I locked it, the egg broke...

Imagination....we all have it. It's just about letting loose and not constraining yourself. Think about the theme and let your imagination go wild...trust me, it's all in there

I take your point about the wrapper...I might have a reshoot...I have chocolate all over the place.

Thanks, this was one of quite a few. I don't do much light painting but it was enjoyable/frustrating in equal amounts.

I've booked Friday as leave and hope to make the one I originally thought of.

Thanks all for the comments...critique, although sometimes a tad painful, makes me work harder.

Cheers.

Sweet - Great shot with the syrup. I can the hi-key background.

Secure - I love the idea for this Andy. My preference is for the creme egg as it shows the padlock off better.

Another well thought out couple of shots there Andy, prefer the first one. Very sharp and nice lighting, agree with the slight roatation not for the barcode. I didn't really notice that but more to highlight the edge of the lettering on Creme. Background really helps the colours pop.

Good work mate

I love these Andy, are you going to fit a cream egg into all your themes from now- that would be a challenge

I prefer #1, I think #2 would work better if more of the padlock was on show. The detail on both is great and great use of lighting!!

Hi Andy
Just doing a bit of selective catching up.

Sweet - the syrup is a well thought out, well executed shot with a lovely background and translucency. The edited version is best for me because it is such a clean image

Secure - like most people I prefer the choc egg - probably better on theme and a brighter image. The shadow on the kit kat one distracts.

Your shots are very well composed and your dentist must make a fortune out of you.
