HoverFly on a leaf

First post here on TP Forums. Hello!

This was a shot I took after getting fed up chasing these little guys around the garden trying to catch them in mid-air as they hovered. This one landed on a leaf and I was able to sneak up on it. Shot on a Nikon D3s and a 105mm Micro lens. f/8 hand held at 1/250s and ISO200. Processed in Lightroom 3 for exposure and cropping and contrast was adjusted in Nik Color Efex Pro 4.

I like this shot however I did get a comment on it that the red flower was too much. Do you think i should tone it down a little is PS or would that look weird?
