Hare & Foxes

Out for a walk this morning round one of the local villages and spotted this decoration on the thatch.

Hi Sarah, huge apologies for not seeing more of your images before, but starting to catch up with other threads now. Loving your shots so far, a great self portrait for a Monday morning, the bird with the berry in the beak is just brilliantly captured. Like the night shot in the train station too, I'm a sucker for night shots

Oh - we don't have very many thatched cottages round here and I've never seen a decoration on top like that - really interesting - thanks for sharing!

...thought that was a (rude) typo at first Matt - then I realised that you must be folically challenged like me....

Thanks all, these were on the main roof line & on the gable there was a pheasant, but it didn't look as good as these, They'd also put stuff on the porch as well, but think that was down to the home owner & not the thatcher as they were just wooden animals.

Gobstopper Mining

Not an easy job this one, Gobstoppers are one of the hardest materials known to man, woman or lego.

Jake, thanks. Went over to see my son in Leicester and they have a brilliant big toy shop, so bought a few different figures to play with over the year

I find it too hard not to spend all my money on films!

My mum has a massive collection of marbles and pine cones, so I've always got a bit of choice lying around the house!
