Hopefully this will be less controversial than my other post!

All taken on 1DsII with 300 f/2.8L IS with 1.4 extender on a (very low) tripod.

Oh, and following the comments on being too close to pups, I'd like to state that I just lay down and let this little chap come to me.

Thanks all. Action was tough as it was quite dark so was struggling for shutter speed. Fine for the static stuff but a lot of the movement shots were blurred. Still, my favourite set to-date, so well worth the visit.

Oh, what fantastic shots ... very well captured, and love the comments on each too (y)

I bet it wasn't easy getting that low

Thanks for posting, and sharing these :)

 Excellent sharp set

Thanks all. It's a hard day out but well worth it...

He's fairly typical of a dominant bull. Lots of blood and scars from scrapping and mating. At 300 kgs a pop, they are worth treating with respect! And they can shift when they choose too...

Getting low was fine. I have a tripod that goes flat to the floor, full waterproofs and a willingness to lie in seal crap. However, sand at 0C does make the day quite chilly. Was certainly glad to have heated seats in the car when we left!

Great set and thanks for sharing. Every year I say I must go and every year there is always an excuse!
