Thanks, Rob! Just two softboxes, there was no natural light at all.

Horror Photography anyone? (may contain fake blood)

If we're doing TV comparisons, Simon's is very "Dexter". :-)

And if someone were to, say, look for one of these books... where would I- I mean, they, find that kind of thing? You know, in the name of research, and the photographic craft. Or something. ;-) Very nice set, liking these immensely.

    The Busker

More of the same from me. Love the b&w, the textures, and how the framing gives it such a sense of scale. Just a fantastic shot.

    influential photographers

I enjoy Gregory Crewdson and Timothy Greenfield-Sanders' work, but my favourite by far is Anton Corbijn. His images are iconic, and effortlessly cool.

    A few concert photos

My only critique is that both pics are making me feel my age!

Wee Sophie taken by my inexperienced wee sister

I think it's that they've been taken low, with the wee one coming in "head first" in both. It takes the body slightly out of proportion. It's one of my favourite tricks when snapping my two boxer dogs too, and tends to end up in that comedic effect you experienced.

    Promo shoot

4 and 6 work best for me. Not sold on the busy background, it draws the attention from the subject for me. Nice work, though.
