    Olympus OM-D E-M10

I'm really considering upgrading my GX1 for an EM10. The IBIS, EVF and wifi are the key features that appeal over the GX1. It looks about the same size, and a metal body too. I'm just waiting to read more reviews and maybe for its first price drop in a few months. I'm also a bit worried about...

    Downsizing from Panasonic G10

Shallower depth of field is a combination of a larger sensor and aperture. Your Panasonic has a micro four thirds sensor so is going to be more capable at the same aperture than those compacts. Of course you would need something other than the kit lens. Those cameras are well regarded though...

    "Panasonic G series" Owners Thread

I've had the 45mm 1.8 for a while but always found the FL difficult to work with too. Great for close in portraits, and isolating objects, but that's about it. It is a really sharp lens but get much more use out of my 25mm 1.4 and 14mm 2.5. Mark - I did the same thing but rented the 9-18mm for...

    Billingham Hadley pro...alternatives?

I have been toying with the idea of a Hadley small or pro but just couldn't justify the cost now as already got too many bags. Thinktank make some similar cheaper bags. I did also discover you can buy the inserts for about £50 and put them in a non camera bag. Herschel and Eastpak make some...

    Good walk about prime

I agree, just had this discussion in micro four thirds land. 35mm is my favourite prime walk around for versatility, though I do love using a 28mm. I have switched to a 50mm prime only because I found myself taking more shots of my 1 year old son as he grows up and that focal length performs best.

Fuji X100s - Where to buy

I'd go for the refurb too, given that Fuji cameras sometimes run in to issues you just may need to use that warranty! A manufacturer warranty is worth more than the difference over a HK distributor warranty, to me anyway..

    Is Panamoz "back"?

I always thought people were just updating whether they received their orders, rather than boasting they bought something from HK. I think it's useful to know how many people receive their purchases so others can make an informed decision..

    Digital rev problem

I'm interested to hear if they do actually cover the import charges. In their terms and conditions of sale they state that aren't liable for them.. In no event will DigitalRev Limited be a party to the import of such products nor will it be responsible for any liability arising under the laws...

    Buying from DigitalRev

Indeed, got another receipt with a break down. Lens cost £439 VAT amount £73.17 I guess VAT is not 20% of the total cost then, and means WEX get £365.83. DigitalRev were charging £370 while procamerashop were charing £360 for the same lens. At the end the supplier seems to get about the same...

    Buying from DigitalRev

Just emailed me their receipt and though it says 20% VAT interestingly the VAT amount says £0.. Would have thought this should be 20% of the total cost if they are charging it too?

I'm buying micro four thirds gear from Panasonic and they don't seem to stock that..

    Buying from DigitalRev

I just bit the bullet and ordered from WEX, £70 more expensive than Chinese imports but it's guaranteed next day delivery, has a manufacturer warranty, and no chance of customs fees. If the savings were greater I may be tempted to buy an import in the future..

    Buying from DigitalRev

I think kerso, flashcameras, does everything officially. Imports are from the US. The price is usually a little less than UK retailers but obviously not as much as the HK importers.
