well for me the angle is not right , you may as well shot it 50/50 across the the plane .i understand where you are coming from and kudos to you but i think you need to be a little higher from the RHS to make it effective, so as for high key, not working I'm afraid the split is too much 50/50...

As the light is coming from the right i would expect it to carry through but with the slight touch of vinqette has spoilt it a tad which made me look for other areas of PP but overall a good capture , i agree with the clouds too much those would look better in Mono.....cheers

And i totally agree i was just about to say similar to above until i read it For me Street is about feeling and soul not about what stuff you have around your neck, Capture the smell, noise, and atmosphere and you have a photo my friend ......

some times you have to clone to get the effect or the photo that you need, less pressure i think

yep i agree with the top of the houses as well ...... an excuse to go back and visit, thanks viv it was a nice place to spend a couple of hours not much room to park though

Interesting observation blythman there wasn't much to see wider except for cars parked on the docks edge it would have spoilt the shot but i take you point and agree and i suppose cropping in from the LHS would even up your perspective of the scene thank you for you comment
