The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Love my fuji, ever since I got my XM-1 to start the journey. Still got that for holidays and a light carry around. But one thing on the XT series bugs me and I don't know if anyone has a suggestion. I use a little screw in button to make the picture taking a little batter. It feels wrong without...

Managing / sorting out 8tb of photos in Lightroom

For those 1 and 2 star images... you could do what I did which saved a chunk of space (Assuming they are RAW) Export them into a sub folder as jpegs with a lower quality, imported into LR Then delete the RAWs You've got the RAWs on Amazon in case you want to go back in the future and you've a...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Yup. Long term Nikon user who traded in all his Nikon stuff at the weekend. Got a nice 35mm f1.4 for my X-t2 and love the short amount of time we've had... Took me a while to make the jump but when I realised I was not using the Nikon much, always reached for the Fuji when I went out, and that...

I've the first version of this lens and don't recognise that problem. I've both an XM-1 and an XT-2 ,if that helps

    Flash triggers compatibility

The only challenges I've ever had was with a Fuji. I took it into a studio put the trigger on and nothing. Godox trigger of some sort. I had a Nikon - tried that worked first time. Had a dumb trigger. Used that with the fuji (to prove it wasn't the camera). Worked with my flashgun Ended up...

    Studio Bristol

I'm going to be working in Bristol for a few weeks Feb and Mar and wondered if there was a good studio in the city. Portrait studio for shooting models. Reasonably central Reasonably priced (I'm an amateur!) Available in the evenings If you know of anything I'd be grateful

Super White & Arctic White, different how?

What Garry said. No difference. Grey backgrounds can be made white with the right application of light but as a beginner you will find either white will be fine for you. And the space is all important for the reflected light. If you are relatively new to lighting in a studio space, my advice...

Good (second-hand) camera for portrait photography

Hi, use the fuji for the two of them sat at a table Yes to second hand but if you like what the fuji does how about an XT2 and 50mm f2 for portraits. That will allow fast focusing and a blurred background?

Anyone use a Fuji in the studio? I've an XT2 which is use out and a bout, but my Nikon D610 is in need of replacement. I've got the grip for the xt2 and am going to try it on my next foray. I know to change the evf to not show exposure when shooting manual. Not sure if I should use eye detect...

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

Pentax P30. Wow, I have one of those still. First film upgrade and I still have fond memories of it. Thanks for the memory

DSLR,s seem to be holding their value...

I'd agree with the OP. I've been keeping an eye on D750 prices intending to upgrade from my D610 for the focus. Expecting the price to drop as the D780 takes share and the mirrorless scramble continues. Yes it has dropped, but not by very much and people are still expecting good money when...

    Progression from D3300

I've no experience of those particular cameras... but invest in lenses... Any of the 7 series will give you lots of features. I'd avoid the 5 series. Lens wise the 85mm 1.8 as is a cracking chap lens used. MPB, LCE, Park, Wex are all good in my eyes

I don't know about that lens or those bodies... however, I have an xm1 and on that you control aperture with the wheel on the back if there's no option on the lens itself.
