    From the photographs and your description, it looks like he may be trying to place the alive children into a dolls house scenario. He may be doing it for a big magazine or for a gallery (hence the equipment). Edit: Just a thought. You never know, it might be a still for a movie or something??

    I think you definitely need another light on the other side to cancel out the shadow. However you may be able to cancel out shadows with one light by using a still life shooting table like THIS.     Socks

    Some will say it does, however i think that it actually enhances the photo. I really like the tight crop and i think if you could see space above the ear then it would ruin the tight crop. Very nice photo!

    GLASS & GRAPE

    Fantastic photograph. I like the white background for this photo; however i agree with Dave in Wales, i would also like to see the whole glass. I also think it would look better if the other grapes weren't in the glass, but i am just niggling with that one. Steve
