This is stunning, there is something so dreamy and beautiful about this that the 1.8 just cant seem to do. Its shots like this that make people want DSLR'S and fast glass :)

I am seriously tempted to go the extra for the 5d especially as there getting cheap now, i was trying to sensible in thinking about a 30d but the more i think about it....... ;)

It was reversed straight on the body via a £2 ebay adapter ;) If i remember right it was f/8 @18mm, about 3x magnification, working distance is about 6"@55mm and about 1.5"@18mm (measured from the end of the lens)

Thinking of selling my 1000d and getting a 30d, the ergonomics of the 1000d are getting annoying now so need something bigger and want the dual exp dials, im also pretty skint so the 30d seems to fit the bill. How will the ISO performance compare to the 1000d? what i see online the 30d looks...

turn your dial to 'm' then select iso with the button to the left of the screen, to set the shutter speed and aperture you just scroll the front and rear finger/thumb wheels, i hope that makes sense, im trying to find a video on you tube to show you but im not finding anything that helpfull yet lol

Make the move out of auto, shots like the moon easily confuse the cameras meter with all that black, set an aperture of around f/8-11, iso100-200 and a shutter speed of around 1/100-200th works for me every time. Using your camera in manual is the only way you'll get the creative results you're...

Lovely shot, i really like the glow in the foreground rapeseed and the clouds almost looks like scripture (is that the right word?) could possibly do with a tiny bit more contrast but thats just me, i'm a contrast junkie lol The grain dont bother me 1 bit, gives it an almost filmy look.

Were they done with real multiple exposures? looks to me like faux HDR ie 3 or more exposures faked from 1 RAW file in PS then tone mapped. Could do with a heavy dose of the blacks and contrast sliders too IMHO

Very kool shot, cant help but wonder what a high contrast B+W would look like too :)
