    Chaffinch looking miserable in this morning's snow - begrudging me my coffee and pipe behind double glazing! Woody looked envious as well! The blue tit had to check up on me as well Whilst the starling offered some ice for my drink!

    Welcome return

    A song thrush has returned to the garden after not sighting or hearing the characteristic hammering to break open snail shells for over two years. Lovely song similar to the blackbird. Fingers crossed that it is breeding nearby as a few years back they were regular visitors.
