Hi. Just wondered what PP software people use? I personally like to use GIMP. I know it's not as powerful as Lightroom or even Photoshop. Just let me know what you use and possibly why. Also have you used anything different from what you use now?

If you can't afford Lightroom then try GIMP a try, it's free to use and own. Just not quite as powerful as Lightroom

That's a shame they've gone up in price. I would have been interested.

So many lenses so many choices. If only we could all have one of each. Lol.

Just to throw a spanner in the works. I used to love my 17-85mm on my 40D and 50D. But since moving to full frame I use a 24-105mm. As Alastair said the 85mm f1.8 is a good lens. If your on a tight budget, look for a second hand lens. Some good ones can be picked up a lot cheaper than a new one...

For me the 1D wins every time. I use a 5D mk II so anything else will just blow mine away.

Finally bit the bullett so to speak. I bought a Canon 100mm f2.8 second hand but still in good condition. Mmmmm wonder what to photograph next? :D

Google sync like others have said. Or send a csv file via email. Or can't you send the contact information directly via email. Depends how many you have to send.

The 17-40 is a very nice lens. I bought mine second hand. I considered the sigma lens too. But wanted the better quality glass. The lack of IS didn't bother me. I just make sure the apature speed is on or above 125th. So IS is not really needed. Hope this helps a little.

What do you mainly use the lens you now for. As I'm considering buying one.
