I asked them about grey imports and got this answer:
Our cameras are not grey imports as we purchase our cameras direct from the same place canon/nikon uk do canon/nikon in the far east so if ours is theres is, just by canon/nikon uk putting uk warranty card with theres doesnt make it any less...
as I said: "these were taken on a day-trip from Cyprus in 2003 - before the photo ban came in"
We stayed: Luxor Aswan Abu Simbel and Cairo - and on the boat of course.
As someone who knows very little about anything, and have just read this entire saga from scratch, can I just say that the time spent by your client on this must have cost something more than £500. They offered £250? - in my experience you offer low and go for something in-between. Why not...
Who - me?
to tell the truth these were taken on a day-trip from Cyprus in 2003 - before the photo ban came in. The light is VERY poor inside the Museum so they weren't that good anyway.
We went with Hayes and Jarvis - the whole thing was brilliant. we had 14 nights which included 4 days free in Cairo at the end of the holiday. Don't go on any organised trips - we got a taxi at £25 -£30 per day - they'll take you wherever you want to go and far cheaper. If you can stand the heat...
More Pics - comments please!!!!!!
Abu Simbel welcomes the newly risen Sun
Yes I do know about the thirds rule but couldn't think of a way to crop this without losing something. It's the mausoleum of the Aga Khan at Aswan, the good thing about getting a boat at sunset is...
These are the 2 nutters I hang out with in my spare time - the best friends a bloke could have!
It can be difficult with black dogs cos if you drop the exposure the dogs can be under-exposed while the surroundings are correct.
Dougal is in red and Ted is wearing black.
MacDougal...
That's Rameses II - he's absolutely everywhere when you go to Egypt. That pic is my No 1 favourite out of the 1200 I took during the fortnight. Why did I take so many? Well the light is so bright you can't see the screen (no viewfinder you see), so you just point the camera in the right...
Sorry about the pathetic pun, but those pics are chuffing ace! Photographing steam engines at speed however, especially at this time of the year is quite challenging - I know cos I've tried it. I switched to video in desperation - what a loser eh?
This was August 2006. We got to bed at 02:30 after the flight and had to get up 2 hours later for our first tour which was Karnak Temple.
The first pic was taken at about 6:10 a.m and we were SHATTERED. The golden light of dawn is just going. This is the sacred lake and to say it's one of the...
Hi all, was recommended to this site by my pal melanie. I managed to mess up immediately by posting into a thread last used in June '06 :| http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=36287
Anyway I live in Yorkshire and like to travel. Mosy of my pics are "snaps" but I get the...
Hi there,
This is my first post!!!
We went to Egypt in August last year - what an ace holiday. The light is fantastic all day around. We saw Abu Simbel at dawn - the light was changing from minute to minute and there was an Italian chap there with an amazing SLR that stayed on his lap - I...
